TNBMJHL2019: SSTMI Thunderbolts stay perfect

There was no let up on SSTMI Thunderbolt’s assault on the Malaysian Junior Hockey League (MJHL) title as the table toppers racked up another big win, this time 7-0 against MSN/SSN PHPs Young Lions at Field 1, National Hockey Stadium, Bukit Jalil this evening.

Skipper, Muhammad Amirul Hamizan Azahar is well into double figures in the scoring charts with his brace in the 47th and 49th minute, a field goal followed by a penalty corner, bringing his total to 13 this season.

Rounding off the scoring, Muhammad Hafiz Mohd Zauri@Mohd Zahari in the 19th minute, Muhamad Hafizz Fikri Zali (m-27 &m-36) and Muhammad Muhibuddin Moharam capped off the big win with a penalty corner conversion three minutes from time.

In hot pursuit, AHP-MSSP Thunderbolts who are six points within range of SSTMI after they also won with a big margin, 4-0 against homesters, KL Wipers at KLHA Stadium.

SSTMI are now in the driving seat, having a +49 goal difference compared to +18 by AHP-MSSP. They are the leading goal scorers with a whopping 60 goals with only 11 conceded.

BJSS Thunderbolts are one point behind in third after a hard fought, 3-2 victory over SMKDBL-UNIKL-PHJ MSNJ.

Rounding off the fixtures, Sabah Jr (PHS/SHA-SSMS) were at the end of a 1-6 hiding to Anderson Thunderbolts, MSNT-PHT-MSST lost 1-5 to MBPJ Tigers, SSMS Resilient edged out SSTMI Juniors, 3-2 and MSSPP-PSHA won 2-1 over BJSS Jr 2022.
