SSTMI PKS Uniten Slam Six Goals Past Akademi Hoki MBPJ

Favourites Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI-PKS-Uniten) crashed six goals past Akademi Hoki MBPJ to advance to the semi-finals of the Malaysian Women’s Junior League.

Nur Shafika Mohd Sharuddin and Nur Adilya Dina Jajaindawan signed off with two goals each, while Nurdini Batrisyia Mohd Ridzuan and Dayang Ku Kaiyisah Najmi scored a piece in the match played at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil today.

SSTMI-PKS-Uniten will go head-to-head against Kuala Lumpur City KL Sports School (KL City KLSS) in the semifinals on June 27. KL City KLSS defeated Sekolah Sukan Negeri Pahang-MSP 3-2 in a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

In other quarterfinal matches, Mutiara MSSPP-PSHA-PKS-Uniten edged Southern PHJ-MSNJ with a solitary field goal through Nurhanie Najwa Tarmizi in the 21st minute.

SMK Syed Mohamed Al-Bukhary-PPDKS/MSNK, located in Alor Star, Kedah also qualified for the last four with a 4-2 win over Negeri Sembilan MSSNS in a penalty shootout. Both teams played out a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
