With the league heading into the crunch, SSN Seri Kota Predator strengthened their position in the top half of Group B of the Boys’ Division Two of the TNB Malaysian Junior Hockey League 2022 following their close 5-3 away win over TBSS/PHNS in Seremban.
It was the home team who went ahead first in the 17th minute off a Penalty Corner from Mohammad Amir Amsyar Mod. Herman before SSN Seri Kota Predator replied with the equaliser off Safuwan Sharudin Field Goal two minutes later.
TBSS/PHNS was again on the prowl for Muhammada Danial Azhar to slam in the 24th minute Field Goal to put the score at 2-1 to their advantage.
SSN Seri Kota Predator then fired in two quick Field Goals through Muhammad Amin Adam (47th) and Safuwan Sharudin (48th) to wrest the lead at 3-2.
And while TBSS/PHNS managed to draw level with a Muhammada Danial Azhar Field Goal in the 53rd minute, there was no denying SSN Seri Kota Predator the win when they again struck a second blitz – Muhammad Aqil Fakhri Norharize field goal in the 56th minute and then a Penalty Corner from captain Muhammad Elle Iskandar Ahmad in the 58th minute – for the win.
In the meantime, Group A leaders SSBJ Juniors scored the biggest win of the tournament this year when they smashed NHDP Penang U14 with a whopping 29-0 win to stay top of the standings.
