Royal Malaysian Police Blue Warriors delivered an energetic performance to wrap up their TNB-Malaysian Women’s Hockey League 2025 match with a 3-0 win over Negeri Sembilan at the Tun Abdul Razak Hockey Stadium on Friday (January 10).
The victory was the Blue Warriors’ second following their Charity Shield triumph in the league’s opening match on January 4.
Coach Megat Azrafiq Megat Termizi’s Blue Warriors top the table on six points, while Armed Forces are in second spot with three points, Qnet Phoenix in third (1 point) following their 2-2 draw against Negeri Sembilan.
Fatin Shafika Mahd Sukri stunned Negeri Sembilan in the 25th minute from a penalty corner, Nurul Safiqah Mat Isa converted a penalty stroke two minutes later for the second goal, and Hanis Nadiah Onn sealed the third goal in the 30th minute from an open play strike.
In another match, Armed Forces made a winning start to the league campaign with a 5-0 victory against Mutiara-MSSP-PKS United at the Ministry of Education (KPM) ground on Jalan Pantai.
The goals were scored by Brenda JJ Andy Junior (20th), Nurul Najihah Mohd Sukur (21st), Nur Aisyah Yaacob (28th), Aina Zafifah Mohd Razali (35th) and Nur Qashrina Azli (58th).
In Sunday (January 12) fixtures, Negeri Sembilan and Armed Forces will faceoff at the Seremban 2 Stadium, while Qnet Phoenix, a team that comprises mostly national juniors, will play Mutiara-MSSP-PSHA-PKS Uniten at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil (matches at 4.00pm).
