SSBJ Juniors kept their nerves intact to set up a final clash against DBKL HT for the Boys’ Division Two crown of the TNB Malaysian Junior Hockey League 2022.

But it was no plain sailing for SSBJ Juniors in Semifinal 1 earlier today when they were stretched to the penalty shootout before were able to secure their slot to the final after beating PPHT Thunderbolts 3-1.

The score at the end of regulation was 2-2 with PPHT scoring the 14^th minute lead through Muhamad Suolihin Mustaqim Jafridin’s Penalty Corner and then a Penalty Stroke from Mohammad Syazwan Shah Mohd Shahrul right at the end in the 53^rd minute.

In between SSBJ Juniors sounded the backboard through Muhammad Haikal Ramgoffizan’s 36^th minute Field Goal and Muhammad Hafiz Mohd Sukkeri’s 47^th minute Penalty Corner.

In the meantime, DBKL HT did not suffer such drama in Semifinal 2 when they totally dominated MSSPP-PSHA 5-1.

An early second minute Field Goal from Irfan Raziq Syakir Mohd Ridzuan was just what DBKL-HT needed as Airil Abdul Razak @ Rahman (15^th minute Field Goal), Shahmie Irfan Suhaimi (36^th minute Penalty Corner) and then Mohammad Syafiq Abdullah (38^th minute Field Goal) added to the score line.

With the score at 4-0, MSSPP pulled a goal back with a Shaikh Muhammad Amin Shaik Mazanan 52^nd minute Penalty Corner.

But that goal failed to ignite further fightback as DBKL-HT then finished the job through Shahmie Irfan Suhaimi’s Field Goal in the 55^th minute.
